Color Poems
How do I write a color poem?
A color poem can follow the format of the five senses. Ask yourself what does my chosen color feel like, taste like, smell like, sound like, and look like? A color poem does not have to rhyme.

Blue is Lakeside Dolphins.
Blue tastes like cold water from the water fountain.
Blue smells like sweaty kids after recess.
Blue sounds like laughter in the hallways.
Blue feels like a hug from my teacher.
Blue looks like a smile on a student's face.
Blue makes me think of going to Lakeside Park Elementary.
